Lagos, November 6, 2025 — PowerChina I²‑ESS and Paulken Engineering Nigeria Limited have signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to accelerate the deployment of renewable energy projects across Nigeria.
The partnership — formalised during the recently concluded Nigeria Energy Exhibition & Conference in Lagos — brings together PowerChina’s technical strength with Paulken Engineering’s local content capability under a government-to-business (G-to-B) framework.
PowerChina’s global director, Sammi Zhou, described the collaboration as a decisive step toward delivering high-quality solar and storage solutions throughout Nigeria. The company will leverage Paulken’s certified status and established operations to navigate local processes and enable rapid deployment.
Paulken Engineering, with a track record in oil & gas and renewables, noted that the MoU allows it to tap into PowerChina’s technology and after-sales infrastructure — while contributing local capacity development, including training centres and locally-based engineering teams.
This strategic alliance underscores Nigeria’s push to embed more clean energy capacity, strengthen local content, and reduce the lag in electrification — especially in underserved areas. For the energy sector, it signals renewed momentum for scalability, investment, and technology transfer.
